Nikaho (にかほ市, Nikaho-shi) is a city located in Akita Prefecture, Japan. As of 28 February 2023, the city had an estimated population of 22,958 in 9388 households, and a population density of 95 persons per km2. The total area of the city is 241.13 square kilometres (93.10 sq mi).
Nikaho is directly south of Yurihonjo, and from there it's accessible by train, bus, or car.
